existing skills and learn new ones. At any one time, approximately
15% of our 230+ employees are undertaking some form of training
programme. Such is the focus on staff development that we were
recently benchmarked as the best Investors in People company
in the Northwest of England.
Another aspect of Weston that adds to the continuity and stability
is that staff turnover is low and, wherever possible, most vacancies
are filled internally. A significant number of people have worked
for Weston for much of their professional lives. As customers
